Raspanti from doghouseboxing.com and KO Monthly Magazine joined expert analyst Travis Hartman to break down Bernard Hopkins' win over Karo Murat, evaluate Deontay Wilder's progress as a heavyweight contender, discuss Peter Quillin's victory over Gabe Rosado, and analyze what must be in the water in Russia to create werewolves like Provodnikov, Kovalev and Golovkin.

In Depth: Ray Beltran, people’s champ

October 27th, 2013

It was a long flight home from Scotland for Ray Beltran after judges picked his pocket in the Ricky Burns title fight ... but, turns out, that was only the second-lousiest trip of his life. Beltran told us an astonishing story on Sunday's Ringside Boxing Show about his family's quest to get to the U.S. from Mexico -- without papers.

Don't miss this candid, revealing conversation with a fighter who should be calling himself "world champion" right now.

This is the second half of our Oct. 27, 2013 show.

Ringside Boxing Show (10-13-13) Part I

October 13th, 2013

Expert analysts Travis Hartman and Rizwaan Zahid tell us whether the right guy got the decision in the Bradley-Marquez fight, discuss why Bradley wins all his fights but can't win over the fans, how a Bradley-Rios fight would look, and multiple other topics.

John J. Raspanti of doghouseboxing.com then joins us to review a 60-year-old film that Martin Scorcese ("Raging Bull") regards as the best boxing movie ever made.

This is the first half of our Oct. 13, 2013 show, featuring an in-depth interview with "Mighty" Melissa McMorrow after the break.

In Depth: “Mighty” Melissa McMorrow

October 13th, 2013

She was a Division III All-America soccer star who, literally by spur-of-the-moment decision, turned to boxing. Melissa McMorrow went on to win a Golden Gloves national championship, turned pro, and, a year ago, knocked off 29-0 Suzi Kentikian in Germany to win two flyweight title belts.

"Mighty Melissa" joined us Oct. 13, 2013 on The Ringside Boxing Show to discuss her life, career, and the curiously quiet German boxing fans, among other topics.

This is a lively, animated interview with one of female boxing's brightest stars.
