 Perez joined us in the studio, alongside his manager and two of his trainers, on the Dec. 11, 2011 editoin of The Ringside Boxing Show to discuss his rise to become the WBO's top super featherweight contender and his upcoming bout with Broner.

  Bill Caplan's first gig in boxing publicity was for an ex-champ-turned-promoter named Joe Louis.  He was marooned for two months in Zaire with George Foreman prior to the Ali fight. He once stretched out in the parking lot of a Korean restaurant to prevent Lupe Pinto's station wagon from leaving a press conference. The man of a million stories was our guest on The Ringside Boxing Show on Oct. 9, 2011, for a remarkable half-hour interview. Enjoy!

Dean Familton's role in boxing is that of a strategist -- a specialist who crafts a "game plan" for a fighter before the fight, then makes fight-night adjustments in style and strategy as the action evolves.

He is the son of a legendary Southern California trainer, the late, great Don Familton, and currently is part of Team Garcia, which handles undefeated Eloy "The Prince" Perez, the WBO's second-ranked super featherweight.
